Now on Day 2 of the walk to the startline, from now on competitors will always make their daily schedule calls. This involves using a satellite phone to call in to Base Camp with their position and status. When the race begins this will show us who is in the lead of the race! The mileage is slowly getting more and more, today they will cover 10.4 nautical miles.
