After practising creating an emergency ice runway for a plane, and polar bear drills to scare away a polar bear on encounter, competitors departed for their longest day on the mini expedition - 8 nautical miles. Tonight is their last night camping on the mini expedition. Today competitors experienced how quickly the weaather can change - they were hit by a short, mild storm of blowing snow which reduced visibility for a few hours: good training for the race. Tomorrow morning they will return to Resolute.
